MY BIGGEST INSPIRATION..."STEAL OUR IDEAS"

BESIDES MY FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND WOMAN, OF COURSE.

Often times I find myself contemplating a future in the Ad biz. I understand it takes a great amount of dedication, hard work and creativity just to get your hand on the door knob (forget getting your foot in the door). After all, the Advertising Industry is one of the hardest industries to get into (hey, we're in a recession...we don't have the money to market and advertise our products). The majority of the time emotions run high, leaving a "nobody can do the job better than me" attitude. While staying positive is probably the best and only thing you can do, we are all human. During the down times in a struggling designer's route to success, I search the internet for photos, videos, ads, web sites, that offer me inspiration of invaluable proportions. This website is great for creatives who feel like they are in a rut:

http://www.stealourideas.com/

Adam and Jon are Creatives in the ad business. They produce award winning campaigns for companies big and small, nationwide. It is basically a blog dedicated to Creative Director's and In-House Clients that need an idea, but cannot think of one. They are brilliant, and the basis of "stealing their ideas" instead of asking them for work goes to show how thinking outside of the box can be more successful than ever.

RE-VAMPED MANYOU MEDIA SITE IN THE WORKS!

I am currently in the works of making heavy changes to the Manyou Media web site because it needed a complete over haul. Not only was it tacky looking, but it looked very amateur and showed a small share of the work that I have completed. Due to a higher volume of work, I felt I needed to come off as a lot more professionial to potential clients. This new site will be marketed heavily throughout Blogger, Twitter, and Facebook through the next few weeks so stay tuned....Cheers.

Until then...enjoy the old one, www.manyoumedia.com

P.S.- If anybody has good photography skills, I need to take some pictures for the new layout. Contact me if you have any free time on your hands and would like to practice shooting portrait style photography...thanks.

ARROGANCE MAKES A LEGEND.

"YOU GOT A LOT OF NERVE ASKING ME A QUESTION LIKE THAT!! DO YOU ASK THE BEATLES THAT?!"
Bob Dylan is widely known for his folk music and the way he was able to create such powerful lyrics to move his generation and generations to come. One of the best song writers/poets. Ever. Many people are inclined musically to go and make music, but his arrogance is what made him the legend he is today. Saw this in a Bob Dylan documentary called "Don't Look Back". Interview of Bob displaying his ignorance to Time Magazine...EPIC!!

MY SPEAKER

JASON MRAZ - 1000 THINGS

(this is what live music should sound like all the time!)

Mraz is most famous for his often poetic, sometimes tongue-in-cheek, pun-filled lyrics, and is inspired by hip-hop, rock, jazz as well as a number of other musical influences. It's feel good music and he's the best artist to listen to when your in one of those moods to relax. I love his style of music. Unique above all.

His last album, "We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things." is must have for your CD collection.

FROM 'YE TO FRAY....

As I've noted on many other posts, Kanye is my favorite artist and is very inspiring to me. The band, The Fray is another musical talent I love to listen to....

Best case scenario?
THE FRAY - HEARTLESS (COVER)

...crack cocaine to my brain!

CRACKKK!!!

Kanye does it again, with the video for "Welcome to Heartbreak" feat. Kid Cudi. Although this isn't the next single, it is a work in progress but the production of it is so artistic its unbelievable. This man is an artist in every aspect whether it comes to fashion, music, producing. Anything he puts his hand on is raw creativity at its finest. One of the greatest artisans of our generatio people. Get with it!

NOTE: if you thought the video was bad quality or thought there was something wrong with your screen too, its just the video. I thought I got a bad copy but its just Ye giving you goosebumps visually.

MY SPEAKER - BRAND NEW/DEGAUSSER

"I THINK THIS STAYING UP, IS EXACTLY WHAT I NEED"

The song "Degausser" by Brand New is probably my most favorite lyrical song that I have ever heard in my entire life (23 years and then some). There's a million interpretations to the lyrics of this song but the bottom line is that these lyrics are chock full to the rim with metaphors! The whole CD (The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me) is crackkk!!!

Degausser - Brand New

goodbye to sleep,
I think this staying up is exactly what I need
well take apart your head
take apart the counting, and the flock it has bred

goodbye to love,
well it's a ride that will push you up
right against the wall
take apart your head
chew it up and swallow it

but I bet that you're running
I found sleep in the alkaline
I can't shake this little feeling
I'll never get anything right

goodbye you liar,
well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
then you think you will inspire
take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
take apart the demon, in the attic to the left

(goodbye my love)
but i bet that you're running
(goodbye my love)
I found sleep in the alkaline
(goodbye my love)
I can't shake this little feeling
(goodbye my love)
I'll never say anything right

I'm on my own, I'll never say anything right
I'm on my own, I'll never say anything right
I'm on my own, I'll never say anything right
I'm on my own...

well take me, take me back to your bed
I love you so much that it hurts my head
say "I don't mind you under my skin,
I'll let the bad parts in, the bad parts in."
when we were made we were set apart
life is a test and I get bad marks
now some saint got the job of writing down my sins
the storm is coming, the storm is coming in

but I bet that you're running
I found sleep in the alkaline
I can't shake this little feeling
I never did anything right

I'm on my own, I'll never did anything right
I'm on my own...

take me, take me back to your bed
I love you so much that it hurts my head
I don't mind you under my skin
I'll let the bad parts in, the bad parts in
well you're my favourite bird and when you sing
I really do wish that you'd wear my ring
no matter what they say, I am still the king
and now the storm is coming, the storm is coming in....

HAD TO COPY THIS POST...

OFF SHINODA'S BLOG. THIS POST IS SO REAL THAT I HAD TO REPOST THIS ON MY OWN!!

Quote: "I was just researching something online, which led me to a Beatles song, which led me to a list of their releases. Check out the year of release (UK) on these albums:

Help!– Aug ’65
Rubber Soul– Dec ’65
Revolver– Aug ’66
Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band– June ’67
The Beatles (a.k.a. ‘The White Album’)– Nov ’68
Yellow Submarine– Jan ’69
Abbey Road– Sept ’69

Yes I left out a couple albums, which were re-releases of material.

These guys released seven classic albums and did a lifetime of evolving in the span of four years. We all need to step our shit up. I'm going to the studio." Unquote

I was actually just thinking about The Beatles the other day while listening to "While My Guitar Gently Weeps". They're music is so timeless and they will live on forever as one of the biggest bands, if not THE biggest in history.

my favorite Beatles song of all time, "A Day in the Life"

Shinoda's blog post can be found here.

SHE GIVES THE BEST BRAIN....IMAGES!!!!

Scientists in Japan have figured out a way to view rough images in peoples brains as they are sleeping!

“These results are a breakthrough in terms of understanding brain activity. In as little as 10 years, advances in this field of research may make it possible to read a person’s thoughts with some degree of accuracy.”- Dr. Kang Cheng

I KNOW I'M CRAZZYYYY LATE WITH THIS....

If you haven't seen the movie "Once" yet, definitely see it. Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova sound like heroine in my ears. Great duet, and the film is a musical that was filmed in Ireland, home of Glen Hansard and his band The Frames.
